Macmillan is one of the largest and best known international publishers in the world, with offices in over seventy countries. It is characterised by high-quality academic and scholarly, educational, fiction and non-fiction publishing in many forms.

The diversity and relative autonomy of the Macmillan group has supported their growth in the Australian market. Over a number of years, the Macmillan office in Melbourne outgrew their premises, a building that they had gradually expanded into. The move to their new premises was a challenge as the building was originally designed for residential use.

The new floor plan now features several small offices which cater for the individual needs of the people in the business. To meet the client brief and achieve the desired outcomes, Designphase worked closely with UCI to ensure that Macmillan’s requirements were not only met, but were exceeded.
